Really good service and ideal location

really good service ideal location helpful staff

the staff demonstrated really good service throughout my stay. remi, the concierge, helped book a trip to the highlands, a highlight of my visit. staff answered all questions and provided information for exploring the city.

the spa at the hotel felt somewhat small, though comfortable.

the gym offered multiple opportunities for workouts. i enjoyed using the steam room and sauna, both well kept. i found the hotel's acceptance of dogs to be a nice touch, with many dogs well-behaved.

breakfast was great (especially the pancakes!). there was also a social event at the baba bar, with free drinks served daily between 5-6pm. it was a great opportunity to meet others and learn more about local events.

The scottish townhouse hotel was BEAUTIFUL. air conditioned rooms was a godsend, especially with the thick curtains blocking out the morning sun. i did enjoy Happy hour drinks. The bar had a great vibe.

I was disappointed with the cleanliness. Some cups and glasses was dirty from breakfast. there was napkins from breakfast in the BED under the duvet, that was not good. when i told the receptionist this when we checked out SHE was disinterested.

the staff at reception were polite and helpful. this is an acceptable standard.

the room was too small. i could not pass the bed without moving the chair. the room was also too dark because it only had two ceiling lights.

little stauraum uninterested staff

The room i got was quite a letdown.. storage was a big issue as there wasn't nearly enough space for my things. some of the staff seemed totally uninterested. A smile goes a long way, you know. the pool and sauna area downstairs seemed like an afterthought. Definitely not the relaxing spa vibe i expected.

The hotel features a swimming pool and a sauna. These provided a bonus . I found the hotel staff to be polite and helpful during check-in and check-out. My room included a spacious layout and pleasing decor. The location is ideal, within walking distance to major attractions.

The minibar in the room was empty upon arrival, requiring a request to be filled, though it was then not restocked.
